Take a Screenshot on Your Mac, iPhone & iPad
/If you plan on gathering with family and friends via Zoom or FaceTime this holiday season, it's a perfect time to 'snap' a photo. Here’s how to take a screenshot on your Mac computer, iPhone and iPad. Say cheese!
Mac Computer
Press the following three keys on the keyboard at the same time: Shift, Command, 3
The screenshot will automatically save to the desktop.
Rename the Screenshot
Click the file
Press the RETURN key
Type the new filename; i.e. 2020 Thanksgiving Zoom Gathering
Press the RETURN key to save the change
iPhone Without a Home Button
Press the right Side button and the Volume Up button at the same time
Immediately release the buttons
A thumbnail image temporarily displays
Save the Screenshot
Tap the thumbnail displayed in the bottom left corner
(Optional) Crop the image
Tap DONE
Tap SAVE TO PHOTOS
The screenshot will be saved to the Photos app.
iPhone With a Home Button
Press the right Side button and the Home button at the same time
Immediately release the buttons
A thumbnail image temporarily displays
Save the Screenshot
Tap the thumbnail displayed in the bottom left corner
(Optional) Crop the image
Tap DONE
Tap SAVE TO PHOTOS
The screenshot will be saved to the Photos app.
iPad Without a Home Button
Press the Top button and the Volume Up button at the same time
