Have you ever recorded a video on your iPhone during a birthday celebration or special event? Or perhaps captured a fun video of your child, grandchild or pet? ...then thought how nice it would be to also have frames from the video?
You can! In this 5-minute video tutorial, I'll walk you through how to save still images from a video using your iPhone or iPad. The still images will be saved to your Photos app and can be shared with family & friends and used in a photo project such as a book, calendar, coffee mug, etc.
Apple released iOS 15, the latest operating system upgrade for iPhone and iPad, in September 2021. It includes an array of helpful features including Visual Look Up which I find especially interesting.
The Visual Look Up feature adds insight to your images as it recognizes flowers and plants, cat and dog breeds, books, landmarks as well as artwork.

This quote by Lao Tzu is one of my favorites. When I think of his words in terms of organizing the thousands of photos on our iPhones, iPads and computers, I think of the question I often get asked by individuals who are overwhelmed by their messy photo libraries, “how do I begin?”
Begin by taking a little time to write down your why — why would you like to organize your photos? Why is it important? What will it mean to you, your family and your friends in a year? In five years? In 20 years?

The beginning of each month is a good time to check your backups. I can't express enough the importance of backing up your computer, iPhone and iPad. These devices contain our precious memories...photos of our family & friends, trips we've taken as well as emails & letters from our loved ones. Not only that, but they also contain the apps we've grown accustomed to using every day, important documents we've either created or received, and music we have collected over many years.
A backup system provides peace of mind. If something happens (hard drive failure, technical glitch, flooding, a fire) all your data is secure and accessible.
