Sort Photos in Albums

Albums are an excellent way to group photos and videos by trip, holiday, event, project and annual highlights. New in iOS 14 is the option to sort your photos and videos within albums. Sort by Oldest to Newest, Newest to Oldest or select Custom Order to arrange your photos in a specific sequence that tells your story your way.

To arrange your photos using the Custom Order option, touch and hold photo thumbnail, then drag to a new position.

  1. Open PHOTOS app

  2. Tap ALBUMS

  3. Tap SEE ALL to view all albums

  4. Tap the album you wish to sort

  5. Tap the More button (3-dots in top right corner)

  6. Tap SORT

  7. Tap one of the options:

    • Custom Order

    • Oldest to Newest

    • Newest to Oldest
