Sync Notes on iPhone, iPad and Computer
/Easily Access Your Notes on Any Device via iCloud
To set up the Notes app to sync between your iPhone, iPad and Mac computer, first enable Notes to sync via iCloud, then set iCloud as the default (primary) account.
If you're using a Windows computer, access your notes via the iCloud.com website.
iPhone/iPad
Software Version iOS 13 or newer
Open the SETTINGS app
For the first step, tap Your Name (Apple ID) at the top
Tap iCLOUD
Tap the NOTES slider to turn ON (green means the feature is ON)
For the second step, tap APPLE ID (top left)
Tap SETTINGS (top left)
Scroll to NOTES
Tap DEFAULT ACCOUNT, then tap iCLOUD
Mac Computer
Software Version 10.14 or newer
For the first step, open SYSTEM PREFERENCES from the dock or the Apple menu (black apple icon)
Click iCLOUD
For NOTES, click the box to add a checkmark
Close iCloud window
For the second step, open the NOTES app from the dock or Finder > Applications
Click NOTES menu (top left, next to black apple icon)
Click PREFERENCES
For DEFAULT ACCOUNT, click to select iCLOUD
Close Preferences window
Windows Computer
View Notes on a Windows computer:
Open a browser (Firefox, Chrome, Edge)
Go to the following website: iCloud.com
Sign in to iCloud by entering your Apple ID (your email address), then click the arrow icon
Enter your Apple ID password, then click the arrow icon
Click NOTES
