Select Favorite Burst Photos

Burst photos are great for capturing group shots, moving objects and action. Also note that bursts are automatically created when you use the timer.

Since the camera app captures 10 photos per second, it’s easy to accumulate too many unnecessary images over time. Therefore, it’s a good idea to create a habit of clearing out bursts periodically, if not immediately. Once you’ve taken burst photos, select the best and delete the rest. Here’s how:

  1. Tap PHOTOS app

  2. Tap ALBUMS

  3. Scroll to MEDIA TYPES

  4. Tap BURSTS

  5. Tap a photo (group of Burst photos). The total number of Burst photos displays at top left.

  6. Tap SELECT to choose favorites:

    • A filmstrip displays at the bottom of the screen. The gray arrow indicates the photo you are currently viewing. Gray dots indicate the sharpest photos.

    • Swipe across the filmstrip to view and compare all photos.

    • Select the photos you wish to keep by tapping each photo

  7. Tap DONE

  8. Tap KEEP ONLY # FAVORITE(S)
